Hello friends and Happy Tuesday! I am back today to share some spooktacular designs. These cards feature the Halloween Brew Set and the Cute Ghosts Set from Pink and Main. Keep reading below for more details on how I made these eerie projects.
Project 1
This card is an adorable spider web design featuring the Halloween Brew Set. First I colored up the image with my Copic markers. The colors I used are listed at the end of this post.
Next, I used the pink and green inked paper from the Inked Oasis 6×6 Paper Pack as the card front as I thought it looked like fumes rising from a potion in a cauldron. I just love this paper pack as I am afraid to try alcohol inks. So now I can have great backgrounds and still keep my fingers clean!
I used the Spider Web Cover Die as a decorative overlay to coordinate with the spider image. I die cut three layers of the cobweb and glued them together to create some dimension. I used yellow enamel dots from the Musical Enamel Dots pack to embellish the card front.
I heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder on black cardstock. To finish the card I used glue dots to attach the sentiment and spider image to the card front.
Project 2
For this second project I also used my Copic markers to color up the sweet little ghosts from the Cute Ghosts Stamp Set. I used BG000, BG01, and BV02 to color the ghosts. The rest of the colors I used are listed at the end of this post.
I really wanted to create a spooky textured background for this card so I used the Bubbly Waves Stencil, Glossy Gel, and Lilac Embossing Powder on black cardstock to create little spirit orbs in the background. This was my first time experimenting with embossing powder and texture paste. To heat set the embossing powder just use the heat gun until you see the gel bubbling, then move onto a new area. Just make sure you also use an embossing buddy on the cardstock before you start with the paste.
Once the background dried I used yellow, orange, and light blue enamel dots from the Musical Enamel Dots pack to embellish the card.
I heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder on black cardstock. Since the card front is textured I used glue dots to attach the sentiment and ghost images to the card front.
