Good Fortunes to You

Hello friends! I am back today to share a mystical card design featuring the In Your Future Set from Pink and Main. Keep reading below for more details on how I made this magical project.

To create the mystical background I first die cut the four smallest-sized Stitched Diamond Dies from masking paper multiple times. I placed the masking diamonds randomly onto light purple cardstock to protect those areas from ink blending. Once the masking shapes were secured onto the card panel I ink blended over top of them with Victorian Velvet, Seedless Preserves, and Dusty Concord Distress Oxide inks.

Once the background dried I carefully peeled up the masking paper which left an amazing background design. I decided to splatter gold metallic paint onto the card panel to give it a more magical look.

Next, I used the two largest Stitched Diamond Dies to die cut the gold foil frame and vellum diamond that I layered onto the center of the card panel.

The fortune teller images from the In Your Future Set were colored with Copic markers. All the colors I used are listed at the end of this post. The sentiments were stamped in pigment black ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.

The fortune teller and the sentiment strip are attached to the card front with foam tape and the other images are attached with liquid adhesive. The other images are placed above her head so it looks like the items are floating above her head as she’s performing magic.

Thank you for stopping by the blog. I really hope this project inspires you today! For more inspiration you can check out my other Pink and Main creations here!
