Close to My Heart (CTMH) introduced a special promotion for the month’s of February and March called the Love Blossoms Cardmaking Workshop. For more information on the beautiful workshop read this post from CTMH’s blog here. The kit comes with cardstock, mini ink pads, two stamp sets, an embossing folder, and embellishing thread. The workshop creates 12 cards of three different styles which are shown below. These images are sourced from CTMH’s blog post.
I really enjoyed this kit however I had a hard time getting the floral stamps to stamp clean images. I used my stamping platform, my Stamparatus from Stampin’ Up, to re-stamp the flowers until the image turned out nicely. I also did not use the color centers as they were impossible to line up with the center of the images. Therefore, I created a lot of alternatives with this beautiful set. The alternative cards that I created with are shown in the images below.
To create these alternatives I played with some ink blending techniques and makeup brushes, ink pad watercoloring and water brushes, and my copic markers. I will list the products I used below.
