Hi everyone today I’m participating in The CASE The Fellow Creator Blog Hop hosted by Handmade Happiness. Handmade Happiness is for crafters that want to participate in hops and collaborations. So what does CASE stand for?
CASE simply stands for Copy And Share Everything. Basically, if you see a card you REALLY like you can copy it in your own style and share your own creation. Just make sure to credit the original artist too for their creativity too!
Justin Averill and his Creation
For this blog hop I decided to CASE a card from my very talented friend, Justin Averill. If you haven’t seen his work check out his blog here. He’s very supportive and super creative!
I have chosen to CASE Justin’s A Queen and Her Guards card pictured below. This card features the Travel to the UK stamp set from Kindred Stamps. I love the layered dimension of this card. For more details on this card creation check out Justin’s blog post here.
My CASE Creation
For my card I created Justin’s same card layout and background with the Distress Brick Stencil from Kindred Stamps and Distress Ink. However, instead of copying the Queen in her castle I made a princess stuck in her tower using the Kindred Stamps Long Hair Don’t Care stamp set. I used my Cricut Explore Air 2 and Cricut Design Space to make the window balcony, vines, and the flowers. For the grass at the bottom of the card I used the Lawn Fawn Grassy Border Die.
Another one of Justin’s signature items is his coordinating envelopes. I tried to make a coordinating envelope by making an envelope from scratch. I love all the different shades of purple on the envelope and envelope liner. A coordinating envelope ties the whole project together so nicely.
Thanks for taking the time to check out my blog. Make sure to check out Justin’s blog here. Search for the hashtag #CASETheFellowCreator on social media and Youtube.
Hope you come back soon!
