I stamped and heat emboss the floral image twice: once with gold embossing powder and the other with silver embossing powder. I colored the images with my Tombow Dual Brush Markers. I used a pink color scheme with the gold floral image and a blue violet color scheme with the silver floral image. I heat embossed the “missing you BIG Time” sentiment in the coordinating embossing powder colors for each of the cards on a strip of vellum so that it didn’t cover the beautiful floral image. I stamped and trimmed the last sentiment “Hello friend!” and adhered it to the card with some foam tape. I finished the cards by matting the floral images on coordinating cardstock. Looking at the images now I wish I had added some embellishments to the front of the cards as well but I still think they turned out beautifully!
Hi everyone today I’m participating in the 1 Stamp 1 Card Blog Hop hosted by Handmade Happiness. Handmade Happiness is for crafters that want to participate in hops and collaborations. Rules of the 1 Stamp 1 Card Hop
The rules of the challenge are quite simple. You must use the WHOLE stamp set on your card front!
But here are more details on the rules:
1. The stamp set must be no smaller than 4 inches by 6 inches but it can be bigger.
2. The stamp set must include at least one sentiment and one image, so a single background stamp doesn’t count!
3. When you create your card, it must make use of all stamps in the set to include ALL the sentiments, twigs, leaves, flowers, flourishes, texture dots, lines and scribbles.
4. You are allowed to use no less than 50% of any image, but ALL words in ALL sentiments must be seen!
5. You may use a stamp more than once but every stamp on that sheet has to be used at least once.
6. You cannot use any other stamps in your stash! No extra sentiments or flourishes or Texture stamps from another set, NOTHING!!! Just use whatever is on the stamp sheet you selected. Choose wisely!
7. Once you complete your card, your post will be made up of at least three photos. The first photo will be a picture of the chosen stamp set. The second and third photo will be of the front and the inside of the card. If you are feeling especially creative you may also use your stamps on the back of the card. Just make sure you include a picture of that too.
My Creation
For my creation I immediately started digging through my stash trying to find the BEST stamp to use for the challenge. Colorado Craft Company makes a stamp series called Big & Bold stamp collection that have HUGE images and coordinating sentiments. The Missing You Peony stamp set worked perfectly for this challenge. A picture of the stamp set is shown below.
