TRHD New Release – Witchy Wine Creations

Thanks for stopping by my blog! It’s Day 3 of The Rabbit Hole Designs Release Week’s Inspiration Hop, and today we are featuring the new set Cocktail Witch! So be sure to stick around for the end of this post to see where you are hopping to next, and find out how you can participate in the Release Week Giveaway!
With the Cocktail Witch stamp set I made two wickedly awesome projects: a slimline shaker card and a witch-y wine tag! This witch was so much fun to work with! You can color her so many different ways! I used my Copic Sketch alcohol markers to color these toxic-ly beautiful witches.
Project 1
I know you have heard of a genie in a magical lamp, but have you heard of a witch in a wine bottle?! For my first project I made a shaker card out of a glass bottle shape. This bottle contains this wickedly adorable witch and her spooky city.

First, I used my Cricut Explore Air 2 to cut the glass bottle shape and bottle outline from the card front. I also used the Cricut machine to cut out the city-scape outline for the inside of the shaker component. I distressed a scrap piece of kraft paper to look like the wine cork in the bottle. On the inside of the bottle I used Distress Oxide inks to blend out a night sky background behind the city. I used The The Rabbit Hole Designs sequins as the shaker component inside of the bottle. To finish the card front I ink blended with the Diamond Flower stencil and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink to create more of a dynamic background. I used the same stencil with the Tumbled Glass and Dusty Concord oxide inks to create a coordinating slimline envelope.

Project 2
For my second project I made a wine bottle tag. I used my Cricut Explore Air 2 to cut out the wine bottle tag shape.

To decorate the tag I created a twilight night scene. I used a circle die to mask off the moon. I ink blended the background with Seedless Preserves and Festive Berries Distress Oxide Inks to create the night sky. I distressed the edges of the night sky with a black ink. After I peeled off the circle mask I brushed over the white space with Spun Sugar Distress Oxide ink to dull the contrast between the moon and the night sky. I added some embellishment to the tag by adding a bow. I stamped the sentiment “Drink up Witches!” and the retro stars with black ink. Finally, I adhered the witch and the cat to the tag with double sided foam tape. I love the way this tag turned out!

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today! I hope I have provided you some with some wickedly fun inspiration for Halloween. Comment below and tell me which project is your favorite!
