Hi everyone! This evening I have the honor of sharing a sneak peak of the STAMPtember exclusive set with Art Impressions – Coolest Friend. This stamp set is only available through Simon Says Stamp. Get it quick before it sells out! The exclusive STAMPtember collaborations are selling out in record time this year, so act fast if you can! For details on how I created this holiday card featuring Coolest Friend keep reading below.
I used Distress Oxide inks: Spun Sugar , Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserves, and Broken China to ink blend the cool ombre background and matted it onto solid pink cardstock. Next, I heat embossed the sentiment “You’re the coolest!” with white embossing powder. I used the embossing powder and the snowflake stamps to create the snowflake background onto the second layer of cardstock to create a ink resisting effect, then I die cut the cardstock with Art Impressions Hexagon Double Stitched dies. I also used the Spun Sugar Distress Oxide ink on the die cut cardstock. I used my Copic Sketch markers to color the snowy girlfriends. The colors I used are listed at the the end of this blog post. I used a white gel pen to add extra detail to the images. I propped the colored image onto foam adhesive. Finally, I added sequins to the card front for additional embellishment.
