Hi everyone! Today I am sharing my creation featuring the new Beach Mini Die Set and the 2020 Freebie Sea Creature stamp sets from Art Impressions. Art Impressions released 14 new mini die sets today, check them out here. Keep reading below for more details on how I made this card.
First, I constructed the front panel aquarium using the Lawn Fawn Build-An-Aquarium die set with Grey Kraft cardstock. I used charcoal ink to distress the top and bottom pieces of the aquarium. I cut a piece of acetate and attached it to the inside of the aquarium to look like the glass windows.
I created the background of the aquarium by ink blending with the i-Crafter Cosmic Flare stencil and Broken China Distress Oxide ink on a 2 3/4″ x 3 3/4″ piece of cardstock. I used coordinating dies from the Build-An-Aquarium die set to decorate the inside of the tank. I colored the sea creatures using my Copic Sketch markers. I adhered the sea creatures inside of the tank at various dimensions for additional layers of depth.
I used double layered foam tape to attach the front panel of the aquarium to the back panel. I used glue dots to attach the Beach die cuts to the front of the tank. I also used my markers on the Beach die cuts for additional detailing. I matted a piece of printed cardstock with grey kraft paper for the card base. To finish the card I heat embossed the sentiment “you’re fintastic” with silver embossing powder onto a strip of pale green cardstock.
Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Check back next week for more Art Impressions inspiration!
