Hey everybody! It’s the 25th, so you know what that means, it’s the Crafty Festival Christmas Club blog hop! Each month we share a little bit of holiday inspiration with this hop. Instead of forcing yourself to make a bunch of holiday cards at the last minute, it spaces the work throughout the year. I can’t believe it’s only two months until Christmas! Today I am sharing a card that is more of a winter-themed card than a Christmas card featuring the Victoria – Wanna Build a Snowman stamp set from Stamp Anniething. It gives me chills over how adorable this stamp set looks! I used Copic markers to color the girl and snowman images. I have listed the markers I used in a coloring guide at the bottom of this post.
To create the falling snow background I first ink blended a solid background with Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide ink, then I used white pigment ink with the
Snowfall Stencil from
Kindred Stamps. I created the snowy bank with a
Stitched Hillside Border die from
Lawn Fawn and distressed the top edge with the Shaded Lilac Oxide ink. I used my Copics to create a shaded area on the snowy hillside where the girl and snowman are standing. I used foam tape to attach the girl and snowman image to the background.
I used white embossing powder to heat emboss the sentiment “wanna build a snowman?” onto the gray sentiment strip. To finish off the card I matted the background onto gray cardstock and then added the pieces to the card base. I added white and clear sequins for embellishment.
