Hi everyone! Thanks for stopping by my blog. Today I am sharing this blooming card featuring the Box Pops, Flower Add-On die set from i-Crafter. This die set is the perfect for the Spring holiday with its beautiful pastel florals! This project is featured on the i-Crafter blog today too, so make sure to check it out here.
With the Box Pops, Flower Add-On die set, I wanted it to look like beautiful potted Spring flowers. First, I die cut the flowers using scraps of green, pink, purple, yellow, and blue shades of cardstock. I love the layered look of the flowers and stems!
To decorate the clay pot, I used the Japanese Kumiko stencil with Vintage Photo Distress oxide ink to create the textured pattern onto kraft cardstock. I used the same stencil on the bright green strip after heat embossing the “Thinking of you” sentiment from the Scattered Thoughts stamp set for ink resisting purposes. I only glue the sentiment towards the center of the pot so when it’s popped up the sentiment stayed flat in the front of the project.
This die set is so neat as it create such a detailed 3D structure that easily folds flat into an A2 envelope!
