Holiday Gnomes with Spellbinders

Hi friends! Thanks for stopping by my blog. Today I’m sharing a card featuring the Holiday Gnomes set which is part of the new Be Merry Collection from Spellbinders.

To make the card background, first I cut thick strips of solid colored light blue and green cardstock. Next, I used the snowflake and heart icon stamps to create a pattern on the cardstock strips and glued them to a white piece of cardstock. I matted the cardstock onto a navy blue card base. I heat embossed the “Merry Christmas” sentiment with gold embossing powder onto navy blue cardstock and attached it to the card with foam tape.

To create the gnomes I stamped each image in multiple ink colors to allow for a layered look on each gnome. For example, on the middle gnome, I stamped the pants in green ink, nose and beard in black ink, and the hat in blue ink. I used my Copic markers to color the gnomes and their outfits to coordinate with the card background.

Lastly, I added gold sequins to the card for some extra embellishment.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by my blog today. Check out the Be Merry Collection from Spellbinders. You can find more of my Spellbinders creations here. Be sure to stop back soon for more crafty inspiration!
