Hi KS fans! Thanks for stopping by my blog. It’s the last day of the Kindred Stamps Release Week for July 2021, and I am excited to share a sneak peek of the new Fairytale Swamp set. I used my Copic markers to color all of the fairytale characters and I have provided a coloring guide at the end of this blog post.
Project 1
For my first card I attempted to hand sketch the swamp home for the ogres and color the background with my Copic markers. I heat embossed the sentiment with Snowfall Embossing Powder onto a Flag Double Stitched die cut. I distressed the edges of the sentiment strip with Vintage Photo Distress ink. I used a white gel pen to create the “welcoming” sentiment on the wooden sign. I attached the sentiment strip and ogres to the card front with foam tape.
To color the background I used BG00s for the sky, G20’s for the background shrubs. I used E80’s for the tree and the welcome sign. I used YG60’s for the moss on the side of the house. Next, I used E31 for the ground, the rest of the E30’s for the dirt path. Finally, I used my W0’s to color the house.

Project 2
My second card project features the lonely lord. The main feature on this card, besides the lord, is the Castle die cut. I distressed the pieces of the castle with Hickory Smoke Distress ink. For the card background, I ink blended the ground with Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide ink and the path with Antique Linen Distress Oxide ink. The sky is ink blended with the Moroccan Tile Stencil and Broken China and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide inks.
I heat embossed the sentiment with Snowfall Embossing Powder onto a Sentiment Strips die cut. I attached the sentiment strip and the character to the front of the card with foam tape. The card front is matted onto gold foil cardstock and red cardstock to make an A2 sized card. To finish the card I added gold sequins for embellishment.

Project 3
For my last card I wanted to feature the sweet waffle sentiment and the donkey animal. First, I ink blended the card background with the Honeycomb Stencil and Mustard Seed Distress Oxide ink. I used plain water and Vintage Photo ink to create the splatter effects on the card front. I distressed the edges of the card front with Vintage Photo ink and matted it onto an A2 sized piece of kraft cardstock.
I used my E50’s Copic markers to design a waffle background onto a circle die cut. I heat embossed the sentiment with Snowfall Embossing Powder onto a Sentiment Strips die cut. I used liquid adhesive to attach the waffle and the sentiment strip to the card front. I attached the donkey image to the card with foam tape.
