Hi friends! I can’t believe we only have SIX months until Christmas! Today, I am sharing a warm and fuzzy winter card featuring the Snow Friends set and Slimline Woodland die by Mama Elephant. *The Mama Elephant store is currently closed for a short period due to a move. It should be re-opened by Mid-August.
First, I ink blended with Shaded Lilac and Spun Sugar Distress Oxide inks to create a whimsical winter sky. Next, I die cut the Slimline Woodland three times and glued them together to give it a thicker look and then layered it on top of the wintery sky. I used a white gel pen to add more detail to the falling snow. I used my BG copic markers to give the snow on the ground an icy-blue tint.
I heat embossed the sentiment with Snowfall embossing powder onto a purple Flag Double Stitched die cut. To finish the sentiment strip, I used Shaded Lilac distress ink to give it a shaded look. The sentiment strip is attached to the card with foam tape for dimension.
The critters were colored with my Copic markers. The colors I used are listed at the end of this blog post. To finish the card, I added clear sequins for some extra sparkle.
