TGF Guest Designer: Rainbow Snow Babies

Hi friends! I am honored to be the guest designer for The Greeting Farm (TGF) for the month of July! I will be sharing a variety of TGF projects over on their blog, so check it out here. This slimline project features warm and cozy snow baby images from the Fa La La set. Keep reading below for more details on how I created this bright and colorful winter-themed card.

To create the rainbow snowy background, I ink blended with Distress Oxide inks. The colors I used to create the background include: Picked Raspberry, Barn Door, Carved Pumpkin, Squeezed Lemonade, Lucky Clover, Mermaid Lagoon, and Wilted Violet. I used plain water with the splatter technique to give the background some texture. I also used the paint splatter effect with white paint to create the falling snow.

I used two white hillside die cuts to create the snowy bank at the bottom of the card. I heat embossed the “falala” sentiment with light purple embossing powder. Next, I add presents and holographic sequins to finish decorating the snowy bank. The presents were colored with my Copic markers. I used a white gel pen to add the diagonal lines to the wrapping paper on the gifts.

I colored the snow babies with my Copic markers and used a white gen pen to add details to their wardrobes. I placed the snow babies in line with their coordinating background colors and tucked them between the snow banks.

Hope my creation inspires you today! Check out more of my The Greeting Farm projects here.
