Open House Collection with Spellbinders

Hi friends! Thanks for stopping by my blog. Today I’m sharing a set of cards featuring products from the new Open House Collection from Spellbinders.

The Open House Collection includes the Open House Door Base, Open House Sentiment Steps, Open House Door Side Panel, and Open House Topiary Etched Dies which work together to build a beautiful front porch scene. Just how we like to decorate the front porch for every season, I decided to design one card for each season with this collection.

For the card background, I used Kraft cardstock. I ink blended the bottom of the card with Brushed Corduroy Distress Oxide ink. I used Vintage Photo Distress Ink with stencils to decorate the top half of the card background. I made the door red as it can generally coordinate with all seasons.

Spring House

For the Spring card, I decided to use pink and red flowers to look like Cherry Blossoms. I used the Country Quilt Stencil to create the card background. I used the “For You” stair die so this card could be given for Mother’s Day.

Summer House

For the Summer card, I decided to use white and red flowers with blue flower pots to coordinate with the Fourth of July. I used the retired Star Stencil to create the card background. I used the “Happy Birthday” stair die so this card could be given for America’s Birthday, the Fourth of July. This card also works as a perfect summer birthday card too!

Fall House

For the Fall card, I decided to use pink, yellow, orange and red flowers to look like Fall leaves. I used the Foliage Leaves Stencil to create the card background. As Thanksgiving is the season of thanks, the “Thank You” stair die works perfectly for this Fall card.

Winter House

For the Winter card, I decided to use red and gold flowers to look like Poinsettias. I used the retired Blizzard Stencil to create the card background. The “Merry Christmas” stair die works perfectly for this Winter card.
