Lil Toy Machine – Mama Elephant and Chibitronics

Hi friends! Thanks for stopping by my blog. Today I am sharing another interactive light-up card featuring Chibitronics products! This card is just full of fun surprises, as it features the by Lil Toy Machine set from Mama Elephant. To create the light up mechanism I used Sampler MegaPack Sticker Lights, Conductive Fabric Tape Patches, and Copper Tape from Chibitronics. First I stamped the sentiment and the row of toy casings towards the bottom half of the card. Next, I masked the lower section of the card to protect the area from ink blending. I used Spun Sugar, Dried Marigold, and Scattered Straw Distress Oxide inks to create the soft ombre background. Next I used my Copic Sketch markers to color in the machine and the accessory toy pieces. Before assembling the toy machine, I created the light up mechanism as shown below.

For this card I created an interactive knob that turns, like on a toy machine, but when to press the knob it activates the lights. There’s a green light at the top and two yellow lights toward the bottom of the toy machine.
