Hi friends! Just in case you missed my FB Live earlier this weekend over on the Kindred Stamps Facebook Fan Club page, you can watch the replay here. During the live, I demonstrated how to build this rockin’ 3D project. The card I made features the Kindred Rockers set and the Lightning Stencil. Keep reading below for more details!
The card base is the same as an A2 card base with one additional cut and a few extra score lines. I used this PDF tutorial to build this side step card base. The dimensions for the rest of the pieces are listed below:
Green oval: 2″ x 2 1/2″
Bright blue matte: 2 3/8″ x 4 1/8″
Large gray step matte: 2″ x 2 1/2″
Medium gray step matte: 1 1/8″ x 2 1/2″
Small gray step matte: 3/4″ x 2 1/2″
I used my Copic markers to color the edgy rock band characters and attach them to the folds on the card base using liquid adhesive. To decorate the left side of the card, I used the Lightning Stencil and Distress Oxide inks (Picked Raspberry and Wilted Violet) to ink blend on the bright blue matte.
To finish decorating the card, I heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder onto the lime green oval die cut. I used Black Soot Distress Ink to create the ink splatter effect on the oval.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today. Hope this rockin’ creation inspires you today. Check out more of my Kindred Stamps creations here. Catch the replay of the FB Live here!
