KS Oct 2021 Release – Mini Monsters

Hi KS fans! Thanks for stopping by my blog. It’s the first day of the Kindred Stamps Release Week for October 2021, and I am excited to share a sneak peek of the new Mini Monsters set. This set and the rest of the October release will be available on Friday, October 22nd at 8 AM PST. Shop these new release products here!

I used my Copic Sketch markers to color all of the images. I listed the markers I used at the end of this post.

Project 1
My first project is a fun, interactive card featuring the “Don’t Get Me Wet” sentiment. With this double slider, after the nice pet falls into the water the naughty pet jumps out!

I used my Copic markers to sketch this bathtub scene. Next, I modified the die cuts from the Pull and Slide Die Set to create the double slider mechanism. I stamped the sentiment in pigment black ink onto a die cut from the Card Basics Die Set.

Project 2
For my second project, I wanted to color the nice pet in a bunch of fun colors. I stamped the pet in several fun positions to create a full background. After I colored these pets with my Copic markers, I used Cracked Pistachio Distress ink to create an ink splattering effect. I heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder onto black cardstock. I fussy cut the sentiment and glued it into the white space in the center of the card.

Project 3
For my third project I wanted to feature the naughty pet. I used Bundled Sage, Rustic Wilderness, and Peeled Paint Distress Oxide inks to create the colored background. I used the Spaceship Paneling stencil with Gold Metallix gel from Thermoweb to create the textured geometric pattern.

The black circle die cut is from the Card Basics Die Set. I used white acrylic paint to create the splattered look on the background circle. The sentiment strip die cut is from the Sentiment Strips Die Set. I used white embossing powder to heat emboss the sentiment. Finally, I used gold sequins to add some embellishment to the card.

Project 4
For my fourth project I made a festive birthday card. I ink blended with the Confetti Stencil with Broken China, Mermaid Lagoon, and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide inks to decorate the card front. I layered the front with a Comic Cover Basics die cut. I die cut the sentiment strip with the Sentiment Strips Die Set and heat embossed the “Happy Birthday!” sentiment with white embossing powder. I used my Copic markers to create the birthday hat and box. To finish the card, I added white and clear sequins for extra sparkle.

Project 5
For my last project I used coordinating pet themed paper and the Card Basics Die Set to create a layered card front. I stamped the sentiment in green ink onto an oval die cut. To finish this card, I added iridescent sequins for embellishment.
