This is a fun group of crafters that host a hop with new themes each month and I am excited to share my creation for this month with you all. The theme for the October Hop is Favorite Holiday and the technique choices are Interactive or Fun Fold. For this theme I decided to go with my favorite holiday to to make cards for which is Halloween! In my opinion with Halloween cards you can incorporate a lot more colors than any other holiday. For example, I can color a witch with a green skin tone!
For this hop, I decided to make a interactive card featuring the Batty for You set from Pink & Main. And for the interactive component, I made this pull tab, light up mechanism where the stars glow when the bat flies in the air.
All the supplies I used to create this Halloween card are listed at the end of this post. To color the bat and pumpkins, I used my Copic markers. The colors I used are listed at the end of this blog post. To create the light up mechanism, I used Sampler MegaPack Sticker Lights, Conductive Fabric Tape Patches, and Copper Tape from Chibitronics.
