During the live, I demonstrated how to foil using a stencil! This gift card holder features the Pick Your Poison set and the Christmas Sweater stencil.
I followed this guide I found on Pinterest to create the gift card holder. I have also listed the dimensions of the gift card holder below.
Gift Card Holder Dimensions:
- Bottom Solid Red Cardstock – 5 1/2″ x 6″,
- Scored at 3″ along the 6″ side and Scored at 1/2″ from each edge along the 5 1/2″ side
- Top Solid Red Cardstock – 5 1/2″ x 3″,
- Scored at 1 1/2″ along the 3″ side and Scored at 1/4″ from each edge along the 5 1/2″ side
- GCH Component Solid Red Cardstock – 4″ x 4 3/4″,
- Scored at 1″ along the 4 3/4″ side
- White Cardstock – 2″ x 3 3/4″
- Decorated Front Panels (Red with Gold Foil) – 2 7/8″ x 4 3/8″ and 1 3/8″ x 4 7/8″
To decorate the front panels, first I distressed the edges with Aged Mahogany Distress ink. Next, I used Gold Deco Foil and Duo Transfer Gel with the Christmas Sweater stencil to create the “wrapping paper” background.
I used teal ribbon to “wrap” the decorated fronts to look like a present. The ribbon coordinates with the characters earrings. I colored the character from the Pick Your Poison set with my Copic Sketch markers. The colors I used are listed at the end of the blog post.
