Hi friends! Thanks for stopping by my blog. Today I am sharing another interactive light-up card featuring Chibitronics products! This card is just full of holiday cheer, as it features the Christmas Slimline Set from Art Impressions. To create the light up mechanism, I used Sampler MegaPack Sticker Lights, Conductive Fabric Tape Patches, and Copper Tape from Chibitronics. The light is activated with a Reed Switch mechanism, when the bird lands on the snowman’s hand the lantern will glow! The bird is attached to the front of the card through magnets. The magnet on the back of the bird sets off the reed switch which activates the yellow sticker light.
The background was ink blended with Distress Oxide inks (Salvaged Patina, Peacock Feathers, Prize Ribbon, Chipped Sapphire, and Wilted Violet). Once the background dried I used white acrylic paint to create falling snow. The characters were colored with my Copic markers.
To finish the card I heat embossed the sentiment in white embossing powder onto a Flag Stitched Die cut. I attached the sentiment strip with foam tape for dimension.
