SBS Curiouser & Curiouser

First, I die cut the front panel with the stitched square die from the Card Basics die set from Neenah cardstock. Next, I used my Copic markers to create a whimsical scene with tall grass and a big tree. I also used my Copics to color up the girl, cat, and the mini door. The colors I used are listed at the end of this blog post.

Once the scene was colored, I used Brushed Curdouroy Distress ink to shade the sides of the front panel. To fill the space under the tree I randomly stamped the card suits from the We’re All Mad Here Stamp Set in Tumbled Glass Distress ink. I also used Tumbled Glass to create an ink splatter effect. Next, I matted the front panel with brown cardstock and designer paper from the Wonderland Paper Pack.

To finish the card, I heat embossed the sentiment with Snowfall Embossing Powder onto a Sentiment Strip die cut onto black cardstock to coordinate with the girl’s bow. I used foam tape to attach the sentiment strip to the card front. Finally, I added gold sequins for embellishment.
