Hey friends! Thanks for stopping by my blog. Today, I am sharing an aquatic card design featuring the Submarine Cubbies Set by Art Impressions. The Submarine Cubbies Set is part of Ai’s Critter Cubbies collection. This project is perfect for Ai’s current challenge, “Oceans of Fun”. Find out more about Ai challenges here. The background was created with a Bubbles stencil (retired) and Mermaid Lagoon, Villainous Potion, and Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide inks on aqua cardstock. I also used white acrylic paint to create the splatter look on the background to give it a layered water bubbles look.
Next, I used a fun abstract bubbles die cut to give the card even more of an under water feel. I used liquid adhesive to glue the die cut to the card front.
This card features the adorable critters from the Submarine Cubbies Set all colored with Copic markers. I used mini foam squares to attach all these fun critters to the front of the card so that they are overlapping the bubbly die cut.
The sentiment is also from the Submarine Cubbies Set and is stamped in pigment black ink onto a green Double Stitched Circle die cut. I used a foam square to attach the sentiment to the card as well.
For the last finishing touches I used clear enamel dots to add embellishment to the card.
