Hi KS fans! Thanks for stopping by my blog. It’s the second day of the Kindred Stamps Release Week for February 2022, and I am excited to share a sneak peek of the new Casita Familia set. I made four unique projects to showcase the new Casita Familia set featuring five magical images. I used my Copic Sketch markers to color these images. I listed the markers I used at the end of this post.
Project 1
My first card is a slimline card (3.5″ x 8.5″) featuring all the images included in the Casita Familia set. I mostly hand sketched the scene. I used a pencil to sketch the tile road path and used my Copics to color the sky, grass, and pathway.
I used the Tree Scene die to create a forest scene peeking out behind the house. The sentiment was heat embossed on a teal Sentiment Strip die cut to coordinate with the girl’s skirt. Finally, I added gold sparkles to the card for embellishment.
Project 2
For my second card I wanted to create a colorful background that coordinated which her adorable skirt. I used one of the Rainbows Galore Toner Sheets with Spring Green Deco Foil Transfer Sheets to create the foiled background. Before I ran the toner sheet through my laminator, I used Carved Pumpkin, Picked Raspberry, and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide inks to ink blend the background.
Next, I used nesting rectangle dies to create a layered look with hot pink card stock. I used the Snowfall Embossing Powder to heat emboss the sentiment onto the small pink center rectangle.
I attached the girl image to the card with foam squares. Finally, I added orange enamel dots to coordinate with the ink blended background.
Project 3
My third project features the new Floral Stencil in Victorian Velvet Distress Oxide ink. I also used Vintage Photo Distress ink to give the background a more vintage look.
Next, I heat embossed the “hola” sentiment onto kraft cardstock with the Snowfall Embossing Powder. I left a border when I fussy cut the sentiment so that it would contrast from the background.
Then, I used the circle die cuts from the Card Basics Die Set to create the layering look behind the character image. I used Victorian Velvet Distress ink to stamp the candle image multiple times to create a background pattern onto the white circle die cut then distressed the edges with the same ink color.
To embellish the card I added an off-white ribbon and white glitter enamel dots. Finally, I attached the character to the card with foam squares.
Project 4
This last card features the animal loving boy image and the new Floral Tiles paper pack. The sentiment was heat embossed with Snowfall Embossing Powder onto a teal Sentiment Strip die cut. I used Card Basics Die Set to create the front stitched panel.
I added glitter white enamel dots for the finishing touches.
