SBS Superheroes – We’re a Super Team

Hey friends! Thanks for stopping by my blog. Today, I am sharing an slimline card design featuring the new Superheroes products by Scrappy Boy Stamps. Keep reading below for more details on how I made this comic-themed creation.

To create the background I used both of the new stencils: Halftone Dot Background Stencil and the Comic Builder Slimline 2 Piece Stencil. First, I used the Comic Builder Slimline 2 Piece Stencil to create the layout with the different colored sections to look like separate comic book pages featuring each super hero. Next, I used the Halftone Dot Background Stencil to add texture to the ink blended sections.

I added the comic action words to the slimline card to help the heroes look like they are in action. I heat embossed these sentiments with white embossing powder onto black cardstock. I really love how the outline dies for these words are included in the die sets.

I used Copic markers to color up the featured super heroes. This slimline card features characters from both super sets: You’re My Hero and Super Team. To finish the card, I stamped the “we’re a super team” sentiment from the in black pigment ink onto the ink blended background.
