Hi KS fans! It’s the third day of the Kindred Stamps Release Week for March 2022, and I am excited to share a sneak peek of the new Downstairs Family set. The Downstairs Family Set coordinates with the Upstairs Family Set that is also part of the release. This set and the rest of the March release will be available on Friday, March 25th at 8 AM PST. I’ve created 3 card designs to share with you today. I used my Copic Sketch markers to color all of the images. I listed the markers I used at the end of this post.
Project 1
I used the Country Quilt stencil with white pigment ink onto kraft cardstock to create the subtle background. I used Vintage Photo Distress ink to distress the edges of the card front as well as the tea pot shape. I used my Cricut Explore Air 2 to cut the tea pot shape. Next, I used the Whimsical Garden stencil with Stormy Sky Distress ink to give the tea pot a vintage design. I used liquid adhesive to attach the teapot to the card front.
I heat embossed the sentiment with the Snowfall Embossing Powder onto a die cut from the Sentiment Strips Die Set. I matted it with off-white cardstock to create contrast between the strip and the tea pot.
Project 2
This second card scene I had sketched to look like the characters are standing in front of a dish cabinet. I used B90’s for the wall color, E80’s for the cabinet color, and cool grays for the floor and dishes. To finish the card I stamped the sentiment with pigment black ink.
Project 3
My last card is a simpler background design where I utilized the Distressed Brick Stencil with Pumice Stone Distress Oxide ink. I used pigment black ink to stamp the sentiment.
