Hey friends! Thanks for stopping by my blog. Today, I am sharing an Moroccan card designs featuring the brand new Arabian Nights release by Scrappy Boy Stamps. Keep reading below for more details on how I made these vibrant creations.
I made two card designs featuring the Arabian Nights release, with a focus on the two new stencils! All the characters were colored with Copic markers. I listed the colors I used at the end of this blog post.
Project 1
This first projects features a beautiful princess and her adorable tiger. I wanted to create a background that coordinated with her elegance so I used the Arabian Nights Background Stencil with gold foil to do such that. The background ink blend was created with Seedless Preserves, Peacock Feathers, and Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide inks.
Next, I used white embossing powder to heat emboss the sentiment onto a dark teal sentiment strip. I used white glitter enamel dots for embellishment to coordinate with the sparkle in her outfit. The characters and sentiment strip were attached to the card with foam tape. To finish the card I matted the card front onto an A2 sized piece of dark teal cardstock.
Project 2
My second card features a village boy and his monkey friend that are dreaming about living inside a palace. The whole background was created with the Magic Lamp Scene Builder Stencil. I used Prize Ribbon, Chipped Sapphire, and Wilted Violet Distress Oxide inks for the night sky blend. Then I layered the top half of the card with the moon and star shapes with white pigment ink. I used Black Soot Distress ink for the castle layer. I used Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide ink for the village layer, and finally I used Black Soot Distress Oxide ink for the hillside.
To finish the card, I heat embossed the sentiment onto the card front with white embossing powder. I used liquid adhesive to attach the characters to the card front. Finally, I used iridescent sequins to add sparkle to the night sky.
