Hi friends! So my mother is basically a knitting addict so when I saw the Purl Collection by Sarah Watts for Ruby Star Society I knew I had to make her something. This collection features one of her favorite hobbies (knitting) and her favorite color (pink)! Check out more collections from Ruby Star Society here!
I wanted to use a simple pattern that showcases the big yarn balls so I chose Viewed from A OK Patterns. This pattern designer makes a bunch of 5-yard quilt patterns which require just 5 fabrics (1 yard each) to make the quilt top. The Viewed pattern finishes at 58″ x 71″.

Once the quilt was basted, I traced the square shapes in each of the window panes as the quilting pattern. I just love the stained glass window look of the quilt blocks! I used light pink thread to coordinate with the pink backing.

I hope you enjoyed this knitting-themed quilt! You can find more of my sewing creations here.
